Hi all....

Started up Skype yesterday after a long layoff, and soon remembered why I did not use it...

When loading it up I was watching the internet download, just to get it running ( already installed ) it was taking at least 15Mb and then it was ticking over quite regularly taking the download even higher, and Skype was just idle, not chatting , video. nothing.....is this common.......

Also see if you can find a small program called DU Meter (Download/Upload). You can watch your usage in real time, with meters for the day/week/month, etc.
You can leave it running all the time, in 'real' time.
